Amazing million ants cling to each other to build a
Francisco Boni, an electrical engineer in Brazil, recorded a scene of about 1 million people building up a 'living bridge' to attack hornets.
The ants build bridges that have an arc shape because they move more efficiently.
'When this attack takes place, the wasps often leave and ants will not leave until they completely occupy the beehive. After that, they brought with them, larvae, eggs as well as some adult bees that couldn't escape, ' Francisco wrote on Twitter.
Francisco explained that ant colonies build bridges that have an arc-shaped bridge because they move more efficiently up and down rather than crawling under the ceiling. In addition, ants cannot carry heavy objects when moving backwards like that.
The video was uploaded to the social networking site Twitter on May 5, and so far has attracted more than 869,000 views and 12,000 shares.
Ants often become very aggressive when they release food to their nests.
