America's top-secret aircraft was photographed when operating in the universe

A Dutch astronomer took a clear picture of the US Air Force X-37B operating in orbit.

Dutch astronomer Ralf Vandebergh said on July 4 that he had successfully photographed the US Air Force X-37B after a month of hunting in the sky. Vandebergh said he had discovered the secret aircraft since May and tried to take a photo of it in mid-June but failed because the aircraft changed its trajectory.

"Thanks to the help of many amateur satellite observers, I quickly found and photographed it on orbit on June 30 and July 2," Vandebergh said, confirming it at the close observation. most, this plane seems to be right above his head.

The X-37B is small in size, so it is difficult to capture a detailed image of it, but Vandebergh is pleased with this shot. " The images were unexpectedly successful, clearly showing the nose, the cargo compartment door and even the tail of the aircraft," Vandebergh emphasized.

The US Air Force retains the true purpose of X-37B, making American media and people particularly interested in this project. X-37 was originally developed by NASA in 1999 as a shuttle that can be used repeatedly. By 2006, the US Air Force announced the X-37B version developed by this force.

Most of the project activities have been kept secret since then. The US Air Force only said it was a technology testing program to find the next generation unmanned aerial vehicle platform. Some experts believe that the X-37B is a vehicle for transporting space weapons systems, reconnaissance satellites or multiple reconnaissance sensor systems.

The X-37B was first launched in 2010 and stayed in space for 224 days. Since being put on the 5th trajectory in September 2017, the aircraft has been mysteriously moving around the Earth for over 20 months.

The aircraft was first detected in orbit in 2018 and its expected operating time was not disclosed by the US Air Force. Space enthusiasts say the X-37B's sixth flight could take place in 2019 on an Atlas V. rocket.
