Two archaeologists Cécile Buquet-Marcon and Anaick Samzun and expert examiner Philippe Charlie studied artifacts in a crypt discovered at Buthiers-Boulancourt 40 miles south of Paris (France). This study showed that 7,000 years ago, people knew how to operate under sterile conditions.

It was the skeleton of an older man, apparently a warrior. The wound may be due to an animal attack rather than a battle. The left arm is crushed, if this situation is prolonged, the injured person can die from pain or infection. The doctors at that time used very sharp, sharp stones to cut off the wounded arm. Previously, they relieved the patient with poison and also knew how to use some herbs for antiseptic.

According to Telegraph newspaper, not only in France but also archaeological evidence shows that amputation surgery of prehistoric people used to take place in Germany and the Czech Republic.
