Appeared extinct frogs
A supposedly extinct frog species appeared again in northern Israel.

Hula Painted was declared extinct 50 years ago
Omri Gal works for Israel's Parks and Nature Agency on November 17, Hula Painted, the extinct declared frog 50 years ago.
'The re-emergence of Hula Painted is amazing and now we have a second chance to protect this species,' said Omri Gal.
Hula Painted is a native frog of the Hula valley. This is a very rare species even before being declared extinct and there is very little record of this species. In the 1940s, the appearance of cannibal cannibal frogs led to a serious decline of Hula Painted.
