The Borneo Bay cat has a long, long-tailed or gray tail that is the size of a purebred cat discovered in the northern highlands of Malaysia's Sarawak state.

Researcher Wilhelmina Cluny said three photos of two or three Borneo Bay cats give new hope to the future of mysterious animals and are included in this extinct list .

According to Ms. Cluny, there have been very few research papers on Borneo Bay cats so far and there are no documents showing that the number of these species is increasing or decreasing. Most other information about this cat is only available in historical documents, describing morphology and anecdotes.
