A study published Dec. 12 said that Asians now have ancestors originating in Southeast Asia.
This is the result of researchers from 10 Asian and American countries for 4 years.
They said that the ancestors of Asian people could start from India and migrate to Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines before moving to northeast Asia.
The researchers also said that the genetic diversity of Asian people gradually increased from the south to the north.
This result countered the Asian doctrine originating in Central Asia before.
