Attempt to restore the tomb of the famous sculptor Michelangelo
More than 100 sponsors from 12 countries around the world joined the project to restore the grave of the famous Renaissance sculptor Michelangelo Buonarotti in Florence, Central Italy.

In the first phase of the project, starting from September last year, experts have focused on cleaning up many statues and sculptures on the sculptor's sculpture Michelangelo.
In addition to Carrara's marble decoration statue, which represents the image of this famous sculptor, the symbol of the three arts is architecture, sculpture and painting by another author, Giorgio Vasari. Will also be cleaned to ensure aesthetics and sustainability. In addition, experts also assessed the level of damage and degradation of the project due to being flooded.
Since the last restoration of 18 years ago, the above mentioned statues have been changed in color due to environmental and natural factors that have been deposited into layers. So far, the first phase of the project is about to be completed with good results and about 100,000 euros have been paid during this period.
According to the announcement, during the time the experts conduct restoration, visitors can still directly visit this process by arranging the restoration area as a small display area.
