Automatic canning line won Vietnam science and technology prize

Many studies with the ability to apply practical and high economic efficiency have been honored in Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award.

Project "Improving research, designing, manufacturing, synchronizing automatic chain of canning and canning lines with capacity of 50,000 cans / hour" by Master Tran Van Tra and colleagues from Thai Binh with 3 projects another program won the first prize of Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award on May 16th. This work also received an excellent award in the field of automation mechanics of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Currently, some exporters of canned agricultural products such as cucumbers, kohlrabi or rice and rice processing and preservation factories have invested in production lines, but are still in rudimentary equipment, still manual labor must be used in many stages, especially packaging. This makes the quality and form of products unsure, difficult to compete in the domestic market and export.

From the above reality, Mr. Tran Van Tra and his colleagues have created automated transmission lines in the process of extracting , packaging with high accuracy, reducing manual labor, ensuring product quality and having a beautiful form. , meet food safety and hygiene, thereby increasing the competitiveness of products.

"This is the first large-scale filling and packaging line in Vietnam , with a high rate of self-designed and improved production instead of synchronous import chains , " said Tra and said research has been applied in practice since 2014.

The Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award aims to encourage scientists and researchers to study and apply modern scientific and technological achievements and technologies suitable to the Vietnamese situation in production and life. living.

In 2015, the Award has 96 constructions, divided into 6 fields: mechanics - automation; material technology; information technology, electronics and telecommunications; biology for production and life; technology to protect the environment and rational use of resources; technology to save energy and use new energy. The organizers awarded prizes for 30 projects, including: 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 9 third prizes and 9 consolation prizes.

Three other projects won the first prize

"Studying the technical process of breeding bird nest and building a nest house suitable for each region and locality to serve the sustainable development of bird nest farming in Vietnam" by master Le Huu Hoang and colleagues, Company State Limited Khanh Hoa Salanganes'Nest. This work is also awarded by the Intellectual Property Organization in the field of biology for production and life.
