Bangladesh's capital suffers a record rain
Yesterday (July 28), the vehicles had to go through high-waist water levels in Bangladesh's Dhaka Capital when the biggest rain in 60 years poured into the city.
In the unremitting 6 hours (since 1:00 am, Vietnam time), 290 mm of rainfall has sunk Dhaka, city officials said."Since 1949 until now, this is the day with the highest rainfall in July, " emphasized meteorologist Dhaka Ayesha Khatun.

Six people were killed in related accidents. The flood caused the city to become stuck, schools and offices could not open and many people were trapped in the house. Meanwhile, many parts of Bangladesh fall into drought due to less and less rainfall.
Last week, the government ordered free electricity to farmers to pump groundwater for irrigation when drought threatens crops. Bangladeshi farmers organize special prayers to pray for rain to land.
