Biofuel from sea water
The Pentagon is trying to turn seawater into jet fuel, according to the US Naval Laboratory (NRL) statement.

America is thinking about the prospect of turning seawater into fuel
In addition to using the available energy sources, the NRL said it could make jet fuel fuel from seawater cheap as regular gasoline.
According to Clean Technica, a statement from the NRL, experts are trying to study the process of treating seawater into hydrogen to convert to biofuels.
Initial research by the NRL predicts jet fuel costs between $ 3 and $ 6 per gallon (1 gallon = 3.78 liters) if seawater treatment is applied.
Sea refueling currently costs a mountain of money to the US Navy, since all that fuel needs to consume a lot of other energy to move to the destination.
Only last year, the Navy had to supply about 2.7 billion liters of material to sea warships, and needed 15 tankers to be distributed worldwide.
