Black coffins are hundreds of tons near the Egyptian pyramid

Mysterious coffins have been found near the ancient pyramid in Egypt that many believe is an alien product.

24 strange black coffins were discovered underground 12km from the Egyptian pyramid, made of granite with a weight of up to 100 tons.

The researchers found black coffins in the tunnel system of the Saqqara Temple , northwest of the Djoser pyramid in Saqqara, the cemetery near the city of Memphis in Lower Egypt, according to Express.

Each coffin is crafted very square and airtight for many millennia. The purpose of birth and function of coffins is still a mystery.

These black coffins are all made of Aswan marble , weighing up to 100 tons. The stone blocks are so precise and sophisticated that many people think that this can only be an alien product.

According to the Egyptian theory, after taking the throne, Khaemweset , the son of pharaoh Ramesses II (1279 - 1213 BC) of the 19th dynasty, ordered a tunnel to run through the inner mountains. The area with closed rooms on both sides contains large marble coffins. The burial site was created to preserve the Apis cow mummy , worshiped as the embodiment of Ptah in ancient Egyptian culture.

The temple was discovered by researcher Auguste Mariette. In 1850, Mariette found the sphinx head protruding from the desert sand dune. He cleaned up the sand and traced the big road to the burial site. After using explosives to lighten the rock and soil to block the entrance of the coffin, Mariette excavated most of the compound. However, the notes Mariette left about the excavation process were lost.

Scholars argue that there are still many caskets containing cow mummies awaiting excavation, discovery and Mariette's research work being continued.
