Through 16 experimental treatments, the Center has found a propagation formula with the highest efficiency: Even in the test tubes, the height was 3 cm, the rate of root development was 100%, the average number of roots from 5.1-5.3 roots / buds.
After planting in the natural environment, the rate of live trees reached over 81%, the height of seedlings after the test tube reached 10.5 cm, the weight reached 16 g, the tree grew and developed healthy, suitable for every living environment.
With the old method such as passive shoots or cuttings, each year only for 10-15 shoots, long seedling cycle, after 3 months separated from mother, become an independent growth tree.
Each seed aloe plant produced by raising cell tissue cost over 800 VND, not much higher than that produced by traditional methods.
Aloe vera is a plant that works to treat wounds, quickly dissipate pimples, make poisonous drugs, laxative; At the same time, it is a nutritious food, skin care and pimple remover. Therefore, the rapid multiplication of disease-free and uniform plant varieties by the method of cultivating tissue cells, meeting the demand of local goods production.
The successful application of aloe vera plant tissue culture also helps our pharmaceutical industry to keep and multiply precious genetic resources.
Currently, Vinh Phuc province's Center for Technology Application and Transfer is expanding the scale of breeding, reducing costs and supplying production needs in and outside the province.
