Britain and France want to bring nuclear power around the world
Britain and France will sign an agreement to build a new generation nuclear power plant and bring the technology anywhere in the world in an effort to combat climate change.
The treaty will be announced at the " Arsenal summit " this week when British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and French President Nicolas Sarkozy meet at the Emirates Stadium, north London.
He hoped to take advantage of France's expertise in building power plants without relying on fossil fuels. Nearly 79% of France's electricity comes from the country's highly developed nuclear power industry. Britain's old nuclear power plants are ready to " retire " and provide only 20% of the energy needs needed for the country.

Prime Minister Brown said the partnership will create a skilled workforce for Britain, which will work on a joint project with France to sell nuclear power plants to a number of other countries within 15 years.
Last week, Britain began the process of licensing four reactor designs, including the Areva design of the French Electricity.
British and French cooperation plans will be controversial because many people believe nuclear power is dangerous and dirty. And that the two governments should respect renewable energy sources as part of an international effort to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 50% by 2050.
The nuclear deal is one of several British and French initiatives expected to be announced next Thursday. The two leaders of the UK and France will also announce a new series of plans to combat illegal immigrants.
During a two-day visit to the UK, the French president will urge Britain to ratify the expanded European treaty on immigration during France's rotating EU presidency. This treaty requires European countries not to grant citizenship to most illegal immigrants.
" Arsenal summit " will also mention strengthening defense cooperation between Britain and France. French President Sarkozy is expected to inform British Prime Minister Brown about the details of deploying a French task force to the front line in Afghanistan and in return for British support for expanding Europe's role in Nato. .
