Harvard University Dr. Sridhar Ravi said the team's research could support the design of 'small computer devices' capable of keeping balance in bad weather conditions, according to a report published in the journal. Experimental Biology.

According to Dr. Ravi, the best micro-flying devices today (with wingspan less than 25 cm) cannot keep the flight path stable before a slight breeze, far behind the tiny insects in nature.

To draw this conclusion, experts use high-definition cameras to return to the scene of bees flying in the windy tunnel. The observed results show that bees reduce speed in unstable wind conditions, allowing them to put energy into adjusting flight paths according to the impact of the wind direction.
