Can aircraft grow in size like a living body?

By combining 3D printing technology and using specific chemicals, scientists can turn small-sized aircraft with their palms much larger.

Can unmanned aircraft grow up? This sounds like a weird idea in a science fiction movie. But in fact, scientists and engineers in the UK have spent a lot of time and money trying to make this idea a reality.

Currently, the British government is preparing the final steps in the approval of military policy to produce all of its fighters with 3D printing technology.

With 3D printing technology , the military advantage created is immense. Aircraft and weapons will be built and assembled extremely quickly, near the battlefield without waiting for a long time for production and transportation. This will make the enemy overwhelmed in time.

However, 3D printing technology developed by Professor Lee Cronin at Glasgow University is an incredibly new step.

With the cooperation of scientists from BAE Systems Institute of Technology, Lee is developing a technology called "chemputer" . Theoretically, this technology will help to increase the size of unmanned drones or small sized robots.

Initially, unmanned aircraft will be built and assembled using 3D printing technology with very small dimensions. Then, "chemputer" will speed up the chemical reaction at the molecular level and make the aircraft size gradually increase.

This breakthrough innovation will make the time to build an aircraft take only a few weeks instead of months or years as before. However, Professor Cronin admits that making aircraft from this chemical is really difficult.

We will take a long way before achieving this dream. Someday, you will pull out a small plane from your pocket, irrigate chemicals, wait a few hours for the plane to rise to the right size. Then you just need to sit in and control like a normal airplane.

BAE System is currently involved in many other science fiction projects. By a joint venture with a British technology company, Reaction Engines Limited, they developed a rocket capable of flying at supersonic speeds for 24 hours.

This type of rocket will help military aircraft fly faster than any type of jet aircraft. Super speed is the speed of movement of an object greater than the speed of sound in the same environment. In air in normal conditions, speeds greater than or equal to Mach 1 (343m / s or 1235 km / h with air at sea level at 20 degrees C) are supersonic speeds. Speed greater than Mach 5 is called the supersonic pole.

When flying at high speed and altitude in space, aircraft will avoid air defense systems and anti-aircraft missiles. Simulated computer systems show that such a high-tech aircraft will be able to quickly support and accommodate military forces from thousands of miles away.
