Dang Vu Tuan Son, Chairman of Vietnam Young Astronomical Club (VACA) for reporters, half-moon eclipse is the phenomenon of the Moon going into the shadow of the dark half of the Earth, only darkening slightly and turning light red instead of dark red and dark as for completely dark or partial eclipses.

According to Vietnam time zone, this natural phenomenon starts at 4:53 and ends at 8 48 minutes on October 19. However, in Vietnam, the Moon will set around 5:30, so astronomers can only observe the first phase of this eclipse. At that time, the Moon was in the western horizon.

Still according to Mr. Son, as well as full or partial eclipse, the half-moon eclipse observer does not need protective equipment and can be observed with the naked eye. Or, if there is a small telescope, binoculars . will make the observation more interesting and clear.

Moon eclipse half of October 19 will also be the last eclipse of 2013. From now until the end of the year, astronomers will have the opportunity to observe meteor shower Orionids (night 21 and 22 October). ; Leonids meteor shower (night 17, dawn November 18); Geminids meteor shower (December 14 morning).
