Canada developed wireless endoscopic capsule technology

Last weekend's West Canada Economic Diversification (WD) series announced a $ 99,500 CAD government investment to commercialize wireless endoscopic technology by researchers at the University of Saskatchewan.

According to WD's announcement, the investment will help researchers procure equipment to develop and test wireless endoscopic capsule technology , as well as optimize software and hardware support to 'drugs'. This' electronics delivers high performance.

This technology will then undergo extensive testing and prototyping before taking further steps to launch the market.

Capsule-shaped wireless endoscopic technology includes image compression software and custom microchip components encapsulated by capsule-size capsules.

When patients swallow 'electronic medicine' , doctors will have images, complete information about the entire intestinal system of the patient.

Data from the capsules are transferred to the patient's smartphone via a mobile device application and the size of the SIM card adapter.

Wireless endoscopic technology was initiated by Professor Khan Wahid and colleagues at the University of Saskatchewan in 2010 and has been patented.

Experts affirmed that Canada's endoscopic capsule technology is not only effective in biomedical field but also can be used in industry, security and environment.

According to official data, the world endoscopic equipment market in 2013 was worth US $ 28 billion and is expected to exceed US $ 37 billion in 2018.
