Canada: Discover many strange sea creatures

Bedford Institute of Oceanography scientists have discovered many strange creatures in Sable Bay in the waters of Nova Scotia and some other areas in Canada's Newfoundland province.

The team leader, Ellen Kenchington, said that after 21 days of exploration in the Sable Bay and Newfoundland waters at a depth of 2.5 km below the surface, the robots captured many images of some of them. Strange creatures have never been known.

It is a starfish with the shape of a bright orange body, some invertebrates of strange shape and especially about 1 meter long octopus carrying a large fin on the head. The team named the octopus Dumbo, after an elephant, because its fin resembles Dumbi's elephant's ear.

In addition, scientists also collected a number of over 800-year-old coral species . They hope that by analyzing the DNA of these corals, the spectrum of coral species in Canada's eastern Atlantic Ocean will be identified, as well as the process of environmental change here.

Sable is the largest bay in the North American region of the Atlantic and has been included in the list of nature reserves by the Government of Canada since 2004. It is also one of the few seas to retain many characteristics. Pristine with very rich ecosystem.

Currently Canadian scientists and oceanographers are actively conducting many exploration studies in this sea so that they can gain deep insights and devise specific plans for protecting the birth system. Sable bay unique region.
