Discovered a strange mushroom creature off Australia

Australian media on September 4 reported that scientists have just discovered strange fungal creatures off the coast of Australia.

Experts say it is impossible to classify these two strange structured species in the current ecosystem.

These organisms, called Dendrogramma , consist mainly of the outer skin and the inner stomach, separated by a thick layer of agar-like material.

Experts identify strange organisms related to extinct ancient life forms, living about 600 million years ago and may have recreated the initial attempt to fail in multi-cell life.

They are known in the collection of organisms found in 1986 at a depth of 400-1,000m in the Southeastern continental shelf.

The researchers have now classified the newly discovered organisms into two types, named Dendrogramma enigmatica and Dendrogramma discoides.

The next work of experts is to look for other fungal organisms to study the evolution and the relationship between them.
