Catch a partial solar eclipse on October 24

At around 5:00 am on October 24 (Vietnamese time), people in North America will have the opportunity to admire interesting astronomical phenomena - partial eclipse.

During the solar eclipse, the observer will see the Moon slowly covering a part of the Sun.

The most obvious place to observe this partial eclipse is in Northern Alaska and the extreme north of Canada when 81% of the Sun will be obscured.

Besides, the North American region also has the opportunity to admire this unique astronomical phenomenon when 51% of the Sun will be covered.

However, unfortunately in Vietnam there is no opportunity to admire the phenomenon of partial eclipse taking place on October 24.

Solar eclipse occurs when the Sun and Moon are not exactly on the same line and the Moon obscures only part of the Sun.

Solar eclipse is a dangerous phenomenon for the observer because this phenomenon can lead to eye damage or even lead to blindness.

Therefore, experts recommend that observers should not look directly at the Sun but need to look through special telescopes or lenses, lenses to observe this phenomenon.
