Monterey Aquarium Research Institute, USA, has just released the images that they consider to be the first images of a female lampshade, otherwise known as 'Black Sea Devil'.

If you have seen the popular Pixar animation in 2003 , 'Finding Nemo' ( read Nemo) or have read Doraemon's 'Underwater Castle' story , you'll recognize this lampshade fish.

The Monterey Institute photographed and filmed the fish with the ultra-modern Doc Ricketts camcorder. ' We let this robot float over the water at different depths (10 minutes for each depth) and try to capture and spin every moving creature we see,' the institute spokesman, Kim Fulton-Bennett, explained.

This activity has been carried out by the Institute for the past 20 years, and capturing the 'Black Sea Devil' is one of their resounding successes.
