Chile shook because of the earthquake

Two days after two powerful earthquakes over 6 Richter levels shook Central and Southern Chile - which were badly damaged in the earthquake last year, the region was continuously hit by dozens of strong aftershocks.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the latest aftershock of 6.6 on the Richter scale occurred on February 14, 60km west of Talca.

One day earlier, the Bio-Bio area suffered from aftershocks of 6.0; 5.8 and 5.6 Richter scale. There was no warning about the tsunami published after the aftershocks, there has been no announcement of casualties and damage caused by these aftershocks.

The earthquake disaster that occurred last year in Chile claimed the lives of more than 500 people and caused losses of about $ 30 billion.

Chilean President Sebastian Pinera said the reconstruction of the country after the earthquake will last until 2014.
