The Xinhua news agency said officials in the family planning department in Anhui province had handled the violation. However, the name of the violator has not been disclosed.
The family planning policy adopted in the late 1970s in China allowed only one child for urban couples and two for rural areas to control population growth and preserve natural resources in the most populous country in the world.
However, with the speed of the world's leading economic development over the past decades, Chinese people's lives are getting better and couples want more children by violating the law "only one child." "by willing to pay a fine. But last month, the Chinese government was determined to raise fines higher for cases of intentional violations.
China's population currently stands at 1.3 billion and accounts for a fifth of the world's population. The government has pledged to keep the population below 1.36 billion people in 2010 and less than 1.45 billion people by 2020.
