China fights snowstorms
Heavy snowfall in most provinces in northern China from yesterday, causing provinces to issue red warnings and shut down airports, train stations and many highways.
Train station and airport of Shenyang capital, Liaoning province, must be closed because of heavy snowfall.
The highways in the province are covered with snow, causing congestion and authorities must also close these roads to ensure safety.
Dedicated snowmobiles were brought in but they could not clean the road.
People braced themselves against the wind and snow on Shenyang Street.
More than 11,000 bus passengers and motorists have to wait on the road because of the impact of snow storms. Passengers traveling by ship from Dalian port to neighboring areas were also delayed because of strong winds.
