China has successfully bred super hybrid rice

On September 19, China announced that it has successfully bred the super hybrid rice variety, setting a new record in the world in terms of productivity.

According to the Hunan Provincial Agricultural Research Institute, the super-strain rice variety , DH2525 , produced 13.5 tons / hectare in a test field in the Long Huy district of the province.

To ensure accurate experimental results, a team of experts from the Ministry of Agriculture of China randomly selected 3 of the 18 DH2525 rice variety testing areas to monitor harvests on September 18.

DH2525 rice variety is a research product of expert Vien Long Binh (Yuan Longping), who is famous as the "father of hybrid rice varieties". Mr. Vien Long Binh started to study hybrid rice from the 60s of the last century and the research results have yielded a yield of 10.5 tons / hectare in 1999 and 12 tons / hectare in 2005. Both These two rice varieties all set world records for production.
