The Chinh-2D School rocket carrying the High-9 satellite has been launched into space from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu Province, northwestern China. This is the 209th launch of Truong Chinh rocket.

Cao Phan-9 satellite is capable of observing objects with a length of less than 1m, used for the purposes of geography, agriculture, urban planning, road network construction, and assistance in overcoming disaster consequences.

Developed by Shanghai Space Technology Institute, the High-Class 9 satellite is expected to contribute to China's important strategic projects including defense.

The project of launching Cao Cao satellites was launched in May 2010 and Cao Phan-1 satellite was launched into orbit in April 2013.
