Launched at the 17th International Industrial Fair in Shanghai earlier this month, the robot explores the universe named Xia Tian . This is the result of the development of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group.
Xiao Tian is a new generation of robots that can withstand harsh environments in the universe, including zero-weight, radioactive, and high-temperature conditions. Developers expect robots to be able to operate on space stations, landings on the Moon and unmanned spacecraft, even replacing humans in space projects.
Xia Tian has flexible hands and arms, allowing him to perform all human actions, from picking up pens to replacing electrical connections. However, the robot is not equipped with a mini-reactor and will not participate in the Martian project by 2020.
