There are thousands of butterflies with many colors, belonging to many different varieties. Among them, transparent butterflies are considered the most mysterious species.
The characteristic to identify this species is that their wings are transparent. Spaniards call them 'small mirrors'.
They live mainly in Africa, Australia and even South America. They belong to many different subspecies, but there are many similarities.
Most of this species has a little color on the wing border. Sometimes even more than one color, mostly brown, red, orange with one or two circles. Because the body is black, the transparent wings are easier to see.
The wings of this butterfly are about 5cm long.

This species has another special feature of egg laying. They chose the Dark Tree, an extremely poisonous plant to 'send' eggs. This butterfly attracts poison in the Dark Tree. That's why its body has bright red and violet-colored bands that warn enemies that they are poisonous and not a good food option.
During the intercourse, the butterflies seek every way to attract female butterflies, and female butterflies choose only the most prominent and attractive males to mate.
This species is also a species with very long migratory practices, although this is not the behavior of butterflies in general.
