Video: The 'weird' fish with its crystal-clear body
During their larval stage, the bodies of some marine eel species will contain transparent substances that make them completely transparent as crystal and only a thin layer of muscle with visible veins.

Their internal organs are extremely small and only possess a single tube to make the intestines, but also the bodies of these eels do not have any red blood cells. It is this special combination that makes them crystal-clear.
This group of exotic creatures is extremely diverse and abundant, they include 801 species, in 24 orders, 24 families and 156 genera.
