War and bombing have never suppressed human creativity, especially for two mechanical engineering students in Palestine.

According to Xinhua, two mechanical engineering students in Palestine (the country still in dispute with Israel in the Gaza Strip) successfully built the prototype of a solar-powered car.

The prototype of the car is currently stored on the ground floor of a house in Gaza City. Surrounding vehicles are solar panels that can be converted into active energy for vehicles.

Two students designed the car that took a year to design and create a complete prototype of a solar-powered tricycle. The entire cost of about 1,500 USD is spent by two people.

Jamal member Mikaty said, they want to achieve two goals through the project with this car. The first goal is to make a big scientific advance to catch up with other countries. The second goal is to bring the learned knowledge to the community.

Although the car can only reach a maximum speed of 30km / h but the two students are quite happy, and do not forget to remind that this is only the first step in the roadmap towards production of vehicles running by Future solar energy of the group.

Mikaty said: "I believe that the project will be very successful in Gaza if we find a sponsor by the car that will help Gaza residents get rid of their dependence on fuel heavenly prices are imported from Israel" .

Gaza owns abundant solar energy with more than 300 sunny days in the year. However, up to 1.9 million people in Gaza have no choice but to use the expensive fuel imported from Israel to transport vehicles and factories.

According to the Oslo agreement between Israel and Palestine, Israel is allowed to control almost all of the supply of fuel for Palestine. Meanwhile, the Palestinian government is not allowed to sell 15% less fuel than Israel's market price.

The above project of two engineering students is also supported by al-Azhar University in Gaza.

It is known that the above project of two technical students is also supported by al-Azhar University in Gaza. Professor Mazen Abu Amer at the Department of Engineering at al-Azhar University shared the idea of creating a solar-powered car is a whole new thing in Gaza. He also affirmed to support the project to the end, especially when the product was successfully commercialized.
