According to Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang - Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Environmental Education of Con Dao National Park, the number of annual turtles in Hon Bay Canh spawns more eggs than all the turtles in other beaches in Vietnam combined.

Only in 6 months (from April 11, 2006), there are 367 turtle eggs in laying on the Bay Canh island, of which rangers left the hamlet 281 eggs and hatched 29,013 baby turtles and billions hatching rate reached 82.5%. This is a huge amount of work that every year the forest rangers in Con Dao National Park have to work hard to preserve and conserve marine turtles.

Mr. Tran Quang Them - Head of Hon Bay Canh Ranger Station said: "Due to the characteristics of turtles who just come ashore, they lay eggs at night so they have to mobilize all night laborers to move away. The nest of turtle eggs to safety, only the Big Sand beach, the highest night, there are 32 turtles to lay and so 3 brothers must stay up all night ". This is also the happiest time of the year for Con Dao Rangers.

The work of protecting marine organisms, including high-efficiency sea turtles, has helped Con Dao National Park to well perform its biodiversity conservation function; protection of habitat and environment of wild animal and plant species in Con Dao area.
