Concept laptop can be rolled back

German design firm, Orkin Design, recently proposed a unique laptop design idea: it can be 'rolled' into a tube-like device.

This concept laptop model is set by Orkin Design for the name Rolltop in accordance with the idea of ​​the machine. Rolltop application of flexible OLED touch screen technology. After disconnecting, the device can function as a notebook or tablet or simply a universal computer screen.

Earlier, Orkin Design also cherished the project Rolltop, but to this concept laptop model has changed some designs before the official appearance. The idea of ​​Rolltop is to bring everything in a flat screen, which can be neatly rolled into a cylinder around a core.

The cylinder head is removable and performs the task of the power outlet while the battery of Rolltop is integrated into the strap. The machine core column is also the place to place speakers, camera, USB connector and LAN port.

After extracting the Rolltop, the user can turn the device into a 'big', 17-inch tablet, or optionally turn the Rolltop into a notebook by folding one end of the screen, the lower part will automatically display a virtual keyboard, above the 13inch touch screen.

The design of the folding bar behind the Rolltop can be easily used as a stand, making it a simple display. Moreover, it also has a built-in stylus on the screen body.

When rolled, Rolltop is 28cm long and 8.3cm in diameter.

Orkin Design confirmed that the company also intends to put the idea of ​​this laptop into commercial production in the future. However, there are some technologies on Rolltop that still need time to complete development.
