Cormorant "meat" crocodile rocket
The double crested cormorant found rocket fish in a channel of the Arthur R Marshall National Wildlife Refuge, the west coast of Boynton, Florida.
Todd Lawrence, 44, a financial consultant and amateur photographer in Lake Worth, Florida, is the author of the set.In mid-September, while he was waiting for the sun to set in the reserve, Lawrence saw the cormorant jumping around the bridge leading up to the boat, constantly bouncing excitedly.
"When I got closer and had a better view, I found the bird with the prey and it started to bite. The cormorant swam under the water and chased the fish," Lawrence said.
According to Lawrence, the cormorant is famous for its habit of launching into the air and swallowing.
For this special rocket fish, cormorants take 10 minutes to stand up, but only need a few seconds to eat up their dinner.
"This is the biggest fish I've ever seen a cormorant. I watched birds of prey as well as birds hunt fish, but were still very impressed with the determination to swallow this bird's meal," said Lawrence. share.
