Create a ghost folder in Windows Explorer

To hide folders to protect data safety, you can use hidden properties of Windows or specialized software. In addition, you also have a rather simple and interesting way to change the folder's name and icon to a space. To do this, follow these steps:

- In Windows Explorer, right-click on the folder to hide and select Rename , press Alt + 0160 (right-hand numeric keypad) and then release and click on the space. At this point, the name of the folder will disappear.

- You continue to right click on the folder and select Properties . In the Properties dialog box, click the Customize tab and click the Change Icon . button, with the Change Icon for Folder dialog box appear, drag the slider to the right and select the empty icon, then click OK twice. Now, the folder icon has also disappeared. However, the folder still exists in the old place as a space, so you can change the name and icon to make it appear again.
