Cure depression ... by message
Receiving a message will help us get rid of stress, isolation and loneliness .
Most scientists only give negative effects of receiving messages from mobile phones such as adversely affecting drivers. But recent research, a team of experts from the University of California (USA) has made a positive impact on this.
This study was performed on low-income people, and had signs of depression or psychological disorders. They are sent messages asking about health status, reminding them to take medicine and suggesting good things in life.
Receiving messages will help us get rid of stress
GS. Adrian Aguilera, who led the research team, said: 'The message will automatically send to patients to remind them to take medicine and practice skills for treating depression. It is like comforting patients. '
The patients who participated in this study all felt better when they received the message because they felt they were contacted.'When I was in a difficult situation to receive a message, I felt my mood was much better, because I felt like I was interested and supported,' Aguilera's patient said.
This form is used for low-income people, using the phone daily but without access to Internet.
Aguilera said this method has brought certain effects to patients in 2011.
