Many people now live with high blood pressure

The breakthrough discovery by experts IDI Baker Institute of Diabetes and Cardiology (Australia) has brought hope to people who do not respond to antihypertensive drugs.

The therapy may soon be available in the UK next year, after tests show it improves the effectiveness of human disease, according to the Telegraph.

High blood pressure is a risk factor for people with heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure. Lifestyle changes, such as reducing salt intake, drinking alcohol and exercising, can control blood pressure, along with some medications.

Many people live on drugs but the situation is not very positive.

New therapies use a beam of energy at radio frequency through the urinary catheter to knock out some tiny nerves that are located along the renal artery.

High blood pressure is sometimes caused by false signals from the brain to these nerve cells. The latest study shows that high blood pressure has been significantly reduced in patients for at least 18 months after treatment.
