The launch was done at 4 am (local time), ie 16:00 on the same day (in Vietnamese time), at the launch site on Wallops Island, Virginia, USA. Antares boosters successfully launched Cygnus and 3,350 kg of cargo, including food and necessities, into space.
After just 9 minutes of launch, Cygnus was on orbit and expected to connect with ISS on November 19. Cygnus will remain in the ISS until next February. This mission is carried out after two days of delay due to bad weather.
One day earlier, the Progress ship carrying three astronauts, including Russian Oleg Kononenko, David Saint-Jacques of Canada and NASA scientist Anne McClain, were brought up by Russian Soyuz missiles. space and will assemble with ISS on November 18. This is the first time Soyuz's name joined the space transport mission after the failed launch last month.
Successful launch of the Progress ship to the ISS is considered a "rehearsal" for the next mission scheduled to take place on December 3.
