Destroying old buildings without noise and pollution

Chinese explosive experts have succeeded in controlling noise, dust and debris when destroying Tianhe City West Tower in the center of Guangzhou city in the morning 3-1.

The air quality is still normal after the entire mass of concrete is leveled. The amount of molecules polluted in the air is measured below 0.5 mg / m3, meeting international standards for environmental protection.

Zheng Bingxu, chief engineer of Guangdong Hongda engineering demolition company, said it has applied new technology during construction. The building was first ' bathed ' with 13,000m3 of activated carbon-enhancing air bubbles to limit the amount of dust generated. Then, 30,000m3 of activated carbon water is sprayed into the air around the apartment site to create steam to absorb dust during the explosion process.

In the end, the building was ' covered ' by a tubular fence so that when it was poured it would be directed at the center. The fence would also cover the building after it collapsed to prevent shockwaves and splinters, which could affect adjacent buildings. Experts also succeeded in reducing noise to less than 75 decibels, not affecting the sleep of people living nearby.
