The bones of the mammoth were discovered along the banks of the river Belaya. The elephant's skull was broken. The pieces of ribs or teeth are almost intact.

The bones are stacked on an area of about 1.5m 2 .

Scientists estimate that this mammoth appeared about 25,000 years ago, meaning that it coincides with the time humans have appeared on Earth, known to hunt and gather.

Archaeological traces show that the mammoth is likely to be captured and killed by humans for meat.
