Detecting strange flying saucers in Turkey

In early November, photos of a flying saucer that appeared both in official newspapers and in tabloids in Turkey made the people extremely excited.

On November 4, an amateur cinematographer among many other witnesses was fortunate to record an image of a flying object in Karaköprü region, Şanlıurfa province, about 4 hours. The 6-sided sphere flies in the sky, giving off red, blue and white light. It moves flickering but very fast.

After 15 minutes the globe disappeared without a trace, and so far no explanation of exactly what it is.

Despite some comments on the internet towards the ' Green Fire Ball ' hypothesis, many people do not believe it and think that this can only be a magnified star when filming. More skeptics say it is just a picture of a US spy plane monitoring the borders of Turkey and Syria.

This is not the first time people have seen flying saucers in Turkey. They appear regularly with the latest in Konya in March 2007. On January 4 in İstanbul, people in the area Yenibosna saw a spinning circle with colorful lights in the sky.

Haktan Akdoğan, head of Turkey's Sirius UFO Space Science Research Center, said the number of sightings in Turkey and many other countries has been increasing in recent months.

The director of the Center - Mr. Akdoğan is a regular character in flying saucer events in Turkey. However, according to some commentators, his motivation is not simply because of science. Akdoğan is the owner of the İstanbul UFO Museum opened since 2002 (after a series of flying saucer events) and was quite successful in business.

Of the six museums of flying saucers in the world, there are three museums located in Turkey (İstanbul, Denizli and Göreme in Cappadocia). Akdoğan's unspoken intention is to open museums of flying saucers all over the country to 'improve the knowledge of the Turks and attract tourists'. His organization provides the necessary installation materials and equipment for each museum to be a copy of the previous one.

Whether the museums are profitable or not has not been mentioned, but when the Göreme museum opened in 2006, there were more than 5,000 visitors in just one month, especially Japanese people were very interested.
