Mr. Berek Sawut in Thanh Ha district, Altay district (A Lac Thai), discovered the natural gold on January 30, just below the ground surface. The length of the yellow lump is about 23cm, the largest is 18cm wide, 8cm thick and weighs 7.85kg. In particular, its shape resembles a natural Chinese map.

According to Xinhua, gold ore has 80% purity and is estimated to be worth about 1.6 million yuan (more than $ 225,000). Local expert Zhu Xinfeng said the price of natural gold, depending on its uniqueness, is often several times higher than standard gold.

CCTV News said that many people are jamming to Berek Sawut's house to see gold. However, if he conceals or deliberately sells this gold ore, he may face penalties. Under China's mineral resources law, any mineral underground and on the ground are owned by the state. People are responsible for handing them over to the government.

Gold ore naturally formed, often found through mining. In 2010, 1.84kg heavy gold ore was discovered in the Altay area.
