China discovered a huge gold mine

Chinese geologist has discovered a gold mine with at least 53 tons of reserves in Xinjiang autonomous region.

Zheng Xiaogang, director of the regional Department of Natural Resources and Geology, said the gold mine is located in the area of 3km long, 60 - 300m deep. In addition to the estimated at least 53 tons of gold, the mine contains 31,200 tons of copper.

Zheng Xiaogang's agency cooperated with Meisheng Group, based in Hainan Province, five years to find the precious metal deposit.

Meisheng Group has invested nearly 150 million yuan in the gold mine search project and will start operating at the end of 2015. The annual gold mining capacity will reach about 3 tons, equivalent to 1 billion yuan / year.

This is the second largest gold mine that Chinese geologist ever discovered in the Ili valley. Earlier, Beijing found the first mine with reserves of 50 tons in 1988.

According to the Division of Natural Resources and Geology, the gold mine is located in the Tianshan Mountains area, west of Xinjiang. It is also located on the Narat-Hongliu River mineral belt along with gold mines in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Therefore, some geologists say that this area is likely to have some other ore mines that people have not found.
