Diagnosis of appendicitis for mummies 2100 years old
Doctors in South Florida (USA) determine the cause of a girl's death 2,100 years ago because of appendicitis.
The diagnosis was made after a mummy scanned by a modern CT scanner.

This result reversed the wrong diagnosis of the girl's death 40 years ago, when the device is not as modern as it is now.
This mummy storage site is the Center for Science and Aquatic Sciences in West Palm Beach, South Florida, 40 years ago that diagnosed a baby girl who died of tuberculosis.
UPI news agency quoted Dr. Chad Kelman, head of the Department of Imaging Diagnosis at St Mary's Hospital (UK) - where the mummy was taken to check recently, told him, this is a research opportunity " year has one ".
