According to Health24, nurse Amanda Eller working in North Carolina (USA) recorded the difference between the lungs of healthy people and the lungs of a smoker for 20 years. When the air is pumped, the smoker's lungs are not as full as the healthy ruddy lungs.

"Black lungs are those of people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer . When gas is pumped in, they stretch but then recoil and collapse quickly. The lungs become hard, reduce elasticity. It will have to work harder to provide enough air, making it difficult for the sick , " Eller said.

The number of smokers is increasing in many countries around the world. About 15% of adults in the United States and 17% in the UK smoke cigarettes. Smoking increases the risk of lung cancer by 23 times and is responsible for 87% of lung-related deaths.
