Dinosaurs weigh 3 tons but the brain is just like a dog's brain

Stegosaurus, a plant-eating dinosaur, lived in the late Jurassic period (about 155 million to 150 million years ago), mainly in the northwestern part of North America, but its brain size is very small.

According to the researchers, the dinosaur is about the size of a bus. But plus the two rows of bones on the back can look much bigger. It consists of 3 species: S. Armatus 9 meters tall, S. stenops and S. Longispinus are 7 meters long, about 2.75 meters high and weigh about 3,100kg.

Despite its enormous size, the Stegosaurus dinosaur's brain is small, just as big as a walnut, equivalent to a dog's brain. So Stegosaurus dinosaurs are classified as the species with the proportion of brain correlated with the lowest body rate.

Some scientists believe that this dinosaur may have another auxiliary brain such as a bundle of nerves on the hind legs. But this hypothesis was rejected by paleontologists.

Stegosaurus eats plants, has small teeth and cheeks with a special structure that can digest food before it floats into the stomach. With a strong skeleton and blood vessels, help dinosaurs perform the function of movement, mating and defense. But the fact that its massive structure often only threatens enemies, does not have any good protection for the body.

To date, Stegosaurus dinosaur fossils have been discovered in many regions including North America, Western Europe, southern India, China and South Africa.
