Discarded, dissolved in water for 30 minutes

If intelligence agencies want to make self-destruct remedies to remove traces, all of their components, including batteries, need to be able to self-censor. What seems to be only in this science fiction movie is coming true thanks to the extremely interesting invention of American scientists.

Their self-destructing lithium-ion battery can power a computer for 15 minutes.

Several research groups have attempted to develop a self-destructive battery . However, according to a team of scientists from the University of Iowa, their invention is the first to be able to "demonstrate strength, stability and practicality."

Researchers from Iowa say their self-destructive lithium-ion battery can power a computer for 15 minutes and decompose in water for half an hour.

This unique battery is only 1mm thick and 5mm long. It came out with the standard lithium-ion battery technology. Unlike ordinary batteries, the self-destructive battery is wrapped in a complex, decomposing polymer. When the water is up, the battery will bulge and eventually decompose.

Although the invention is promising, the team still needs some time to create a battery version that can provide power to more complex electronic devices. They still have to find ways to expand the size of the battery that has so many layers and complex structures.
