The cemetery dates back to 10,000 years ago in Ecuador.

According to the findings, archaeologists say the cemetery is dated from 6,000 to 10,000 years and this may be the basis for learning more about the Pacific coast.

Previously, in 2017, archaeologists also discovered ancient ceramic items dating back to about 6,000 years in an area called Real Alto , Ecuador. But new discoveries are much more scalable.

"The archaeological site is much older than Atahualpa compared to Real Alto. The material found can be from the middle of the Stone Age to the new stone.

We unearthed three burial areas that could be carried out at different times. This will help us to compare documents and get new information about the development of ancient cultures, " said Alexander Popov, a researcher from Far Eastern Federal University, who heads the delegation. explorer, said.

Reportedly, the research group of Far Eastern Federal University has been working in Ecuador since 2014, to find out how people adapt to environmental changes on both sides of the Pacific.

However, this is not the oldest ancient cemetery in the world. Some evidence shows that there is an older place, up to 100,000 years in a cave in Israel.
