Two mummies were found to belong to two priests under King Khafre.

One of the two priests is Behnui-Ka , who holds several responsibilities, including a rather long title of ' The Purge of Kings: Khafre, Userkaf and Niuserre'.

The other tomb belonged to Father Nwi, who held a number of titles, including the 'leader of the great state', the 'supervisor of new settlements' and 'the purifier of Khafre king'.

Archaeologists also discovered some other antiques such as the statue of his wife and the son of one of the priests.

King Khafre, also known as Khefren or Chephren of Ancient Greece, built the second Pyramid among the three famous Giza Pyramids as well as the Sphinx.

News of this discovery was announced at a meeting on 4 May with the participation of renowned archaeologist Zahi Hawass. He said: ' One of the two owners of the tomb is the priest of Khafre king. The whole world is watching the great discovery originating from this V dynasty '.

Mr. Hawass also said Egypt contained a large number of unexplained tomb discoveries. He said what was found only accounted for 30% of the actual tombs.
