Environmental experts say this may be the world's largest scallop population - at least 100 million. They live within about 7.5 km 2 of Loch Alsh seabed, Scotland.
Fire oysters (scientific name Limaria hians ) are rare oysters, with a body length of about 4cm. On its body, there were many iridescent orange tentacles poking out from between two pieces of shell. Not only is the body beautiful and attractive, the form of oysters live concentrated like a coral reef should provide a safe and effective habitat for other species.
'The waters around Scotland are considered a hot spot of biodiversity. The water environment here is clean and cool so it attracts many beautiful and attractive marine species to settle down, 'said Richard Lochhead, Scottish environment minister, in the Guardian.
