Discover the newly purchased Boeing 737 Max Vietnam aircraft

On May 23, in the presence of US President Barack Obama, Vietjet Air signed a contract to buy 100 Boeing 737 Max 200 aircraft worth 11.3 billion USD.

The Boeing 737 Max is a Boeing-developed aircraft, taking off for the first time on January 29.The 3 versions of this model are 737 Max 7, 737 Max 8 and 737 Max 9.

On July 23, 2013, Boeing completed the configuration for 737 Max 8. Next, in December 2014, Boeing launched an extended version of 737 Max 8, named 737 Max 200.

The origin of the Boeing 737 Max 200 comes from the number of seats that can be arranged on the plane.Typically, the Boeing 737 Max 8 contains only 189 seats.

The aircraft is designed to add an emergency exit.The amount of trolleys on B737 Max 200 drops to only 5, to increase the passenger space.

Boeing said this version is 20% more efficient and more cost-effective than previous 737 versions, including a 5% lower operating cost compared to the 737 Max 8.

The US aircraft industry giant chose a 173 cm diameter fan for this product line.Because the fan diameter is larger, the nose landing gear will have to extend from 15 to 20 cm.

According to Boeing, to make the 737 Max, the company has changed its design significantly compared to the previous 737 series.

The new 737 Max's wing design reduces 1.8% of fuel consumption compared to current generations.

The new version uses fuel-saving engine CFM International Leap 1B.In addition, the body and wings are also adjusted to reduce weight and optimize aerodynamics.

The latest version of the 737 series will compete with Airbus' new A320neo, which is 8% cheaper than its competitors.

By March 31, the total volume of 737 Max series aircraft in Boeing orders reached 3,090.
